For one Edinburgh resident, a truck dropped by for a stay

first_imgEdinburgh, IN— Lynn Stover, an Edinburgh resident was at work when a semi-tractor driver passed out behind the wheel, drove off the roadway and plowed into her rental home Monday afternoon at the corner of Grant and Toner streets.Photos from the scene showed the cab of the semi entirely into the home, which police say was vacant at the time of the crash. The truck crashed into the side of the duplex and tore through a bedroom, bathroom and living room before screeching to a halt in the kitchen, according to a witness.The driver, a 62-year-old man, passed out behind the wheel before the crash, authorities say. The unidentified driver was alert while being extricated from his vehicle and transported to IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.last_img read more

International 6th April Tournament for Youth Basketball Players

first_imgThe seventh international 6th April basketball tournament for pioneers, cadets and juniors in Sarajevo ended last night with final matches in all categories, under the organization of the basketball club Koš.In the junior competition, the most successful were the Spars, who beat Fenerbahce from Istanbul in the finals with 80:64. Edin Atić once again had a great game and scored 28 points with five rebounds and three assists. The junior B&H basketball team won third place, beating Cibona with 68:55.The Spars celebrated in the pioneer category, and in the finals beat the team Jolly from Šibenik with 86: 51. Dubrovnik team won third place, beating Gen with 66:56.The best team in the cadet’s category was Cibona, which beat Koš with 80:74. Beneton took third place, beating Spars with 84:62.18 teams took part in the tournament, six each in all three categories.The tournament was included this year in the official FIBE calendar.(Source: Fena)last_img read more

Davis Cup to be held Today in Zenica

first_imgYesterday, in the City Arena in Zenica doubles for Davis Cup were drawn, and BiH will meet Neatherlands during the second round of the first group of Euro-African zone.Single matches will be played on Friday from 14:00 o’clock and will be opened by Bh tennis player Mirza Basic and Robin Haase and Damir Dzumhur and Thiemo de Bakker.Double match will be played on Saturday from 14:00 o’clock where Mirza Basic and Tomislav Brkic will meet with Tallon Griekspoor and Jean-Julien Rojer.The last day was left for the singles match between Damir Dzumhur and Robin Haase and Mirza Basic and Thiemo de Bakker.Tomislav Brkic, captain, said that after the first day, the result of 1: 1 would be sufficient for further matches.
