Apple recently launched the iPhone 11 series that includes the iPhone 11, the iPhone 11 Pro and the iPhone 11 Pro Max. Out of the three, the iPhone 11 is said to be selling like hot cakes in India and it is clearly due to its competitive price tag. Soon after the launch of the iPhone 11 series in September this year, several rumours and leaks started pouring in details about the next-generation iPhone that is likely (if Apple decides to take forward the naming strategy) to be iPhone 12 series. A new leak now reveals some details about the design of the upcoming iPhone 12 — that is said to be the successor to the already popular iPhone 11.The new leak coming from popular tipster Ben Geskin brings new details about the iPhone 12. And this time it is about the design of the iPhone. Geskin suggests that Apple is currently testing multiple notch designs for the upcoming iPhone 12 series of phones. In other words, there are high chances that the iPhone 12 may not look similar to the iPhone 11 that comes with wide notch design like the iPhone X series and includes dual-camera setup on the back panel. Going by past records there should be three phones under the iPhone 12 series — iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max. The names of the next-generation iPhones are yet to be officially confirmed.Geskin reveals that Apple is considering various kinds of notch design — some are said to small, some said to wide, while some others are expected slim enough to fit perfectly inside the top bezel of the iPhone. At this juncture there’s no clarity on the kind of notch Apple will opt for its next-generation iPhones. What if Apple opts for Google Pixel 4 like wide notch? Well, that may not be a good idea considering Google was criticised for the notch design. In addition to some design changes the upcoming iPhone 12 series may come with new Face ID setup. According to the leak, Apple is working on some new Face ID prototypes. The same leak also reveals that iPhone 12 will come with wider antenna lines and this is for better 5G connectivity. The iPhone 12 is said to sport antenna lines made of glass, ceramic, or sapphire and not plastic. Some reports suggest that Apple will launch its first 5G iPhone next year. The Cupertino major, however, hasn’t revealed the roadmap for 5G iPhones. India, however, may not see the 5G iPhone coming next year. It may take some time for India to get 5G iPhone as the country doesn’t have the spectrum for it right now.Other leaks and rumours suggest that similar to the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max, the iPhone 12 may ditch LCD display for OLED panel with a refresh rate of 120Hz. As for the camera setup, for the iPhone 12 Apple may stick to the square camera setup similar to the iPhone 11 series. The iPhone 12 is expected to come with three camera sensors on the back unlike the iPhone 11 that includes just two. Leaks suggest the iPhone 12 may include an extra telephoto zoom camera.Apple is yet to announce details about the iPhone 12 series. Like every year Cupertino major may launch the iPhone 12 series in around September 2020.ALSO READ | Xiaomi claims it sold over five lakh Mi TVs in India in just 24 days
